This is just good old 2.5.6-1, just recompiled for cygwin-1.5.0. Local 2.01Gb transfers work correctly, but being in the middle of the university exam session I can really do no big testing.
This release also has a README, unlike 2.5.6-1 (that was a mistake, of course). And a hint file. Hurray.
BTW: on the rsync mailing list people is trying to solve cygwni's rsync's problem in the meantime... (the child sometimes don't get killed and just hangs in the undead army of chaos)
Ready at the same usual address: http://www.lapo.it/tmp/rsync-2.5.6-2.tar.bz2 http://www.lapo.it/tmp/rsync-2.5.6-2-src.tar.bz2
sdesc: "Fast remote file transfer program (can use existing data to minimize transfer)" ldesc: "rsync is a file transfer program. rsync uses the 'rsync algorithm' which provides a very fast method for bringing remote files into sync. It does this by sending just the differences in the files across the link, without requiring that both sets of files are present at one of the ends of the link beforehand." category: Net requires: cygwin libpopt0 curr: 2.5.6-1 test: 2.5.6-1
BTW: it uses my patch of generic-build-script as proposed in http://cygwin.com/ml/cygwin-apps/2003-06/msg00273.html (btw: anyone have pro/cons about that one? ^_^)
