Thank you for the clarification Carlo. I think it was me more than it was
you, interpreting the explanation in a confused way.

For now, one more question: is your work, this src kit with patches,
available somewhere on the net? I'd like to test the build, as I am
currently very interested in cmake and the more I build code that's using
cmake as its build infrastructure the more I learn. IIRC, the cmake build
itself will use a cmake if it finds one on the system, to configure cmake
itself. Isn't that so? It was a few months ago that I built cmake (as an
odd form of entertainment, primarity). I'll be a beta tester for you! ;-)
