it is only Windows 2000 possibly trying to treat the 32 bit icon as a 24 bit icon, with the result being ugliness but not crashing.
This may be fixed with the icon reordering (putting 24b before 32b). The screenshot that Alexander sent earlier show the thin white line instead of a thick one. So probably that Win2k uses the first one with 24b or more because, when win2k came out, both were identical.
