The question is, who enslaved them? Whites did not enslave blacks. Mostly other blacks enslaved them. Muslims who were frequently mighty black looking enslaved whites, leading to the Barbary wars. As racial violence motivated by racial hate is an entirely black and brown crime today, enslavement of blacks was an entirely brown and black crime. Browns enslaved whites. Browns and blacks enslaved blacks. Whites enslaved whites, but they did not enslave browns and blacks.
