Is this supposed to be a threat? If Pyrex fits your goals better, then great! Pyrex and Cython have different sets of goals (though partly overlapping). Your goal seems to be "a language where a poweruser who knows both C and Python well can go seamlessly between the two"; and then Pyrex seems to be a good match for you. It seems like you impose your own assumed goals for Cython as the only valid ones, and then, when you find something you don't like in what others think, instantly jump to the conclusion that there's somehow a flaw in their reasoning. Why not try something different, like asking: Are your goals the same? Is somebody else's position understandable by looking at the other persons goals and pre-assumptions? It's not a matter of somebody being stupid or not simply "seeing the obvious"; it's a matter of having different starting assumptions and different goals. Given that, different conclusions follow naturally. -- Dag Sverre _______________________________________________ Cython-dev mailing list [email protected] http://codespeak.net/mailman/listinfo/cython-dev
