I know Carl hangs out on irc practically all the time he's at his
computer and he could stand in for Dabo Advocate.

When people reach a consensus on registering a channel with freenode,
here's the form to fill out. I suggest a group name of "Dabo User
Community" with the wiki url as the group url, and this will help make
it obvious that Ed and Paul aren't going to be active participants on
the channel. and whoever is the contact could be called a "dabo
advocate". that's nebulous enough to me. I suggestion reserving #dabo
and #dabo-* channels.

a tangent on names: Dabo User Community comes out to "duc" which is
cute. there's also dabo user group for "dug" so then you could have
dugouts. When I first heard of dabo I thought the name referred to
dirt dauber insects so you could make fun and call dabo users dabbers.
and dabo newbies are dabblers (that's me). and a dabo interest group
could be a "dig", I know I end up doing a lot of software archaeology.
