Ed/John, I thought the report writer was a separate module from the ReportDesigner. What I want is to learn how to prepare the rfxml that's fed to the reportWriter.py. If ReportDesigner.py is quicker than learning how to write the .rfxml directly, then I'll go that route. Since emacs has support for SGML and all its derivatives (e.g., html, xml), it's not much more difficult to do the files directly.
