You are not alone - dabo is both new and developing rapidly, which seems to cause the stable builds to become out of date very quickly. the normal response is: remove what you have, install the trunk version. For now, beginners, I am not sure there is any reason to use the stable builds. trunk is normally fairly bug free, and fairly in synk with the docs/help. What would be very handy is for a wiki pages written for people in you position explaining why they would want to pick one 'dabo environment' over the others. And how to migrate from one to the other.
