You misread what Paul wrote. He said we won't even *consider* this
until then. There is no decision on this, and when the time comes
that this is ever debated, I will be squarely on the side of not
changing it.
Second, this isn't "magic", and your use of the term biases the
discussion. One of the things we are especially proud of in Dabo is
how we wrap a lot of the underlying complexity and enable you to
write code that is simple and direct. A large part of my Pycon 2007
presentation was about this very fact. That is never going to change
as long as I'm part of Dabo.
