Well, with the deadline for PyCon proposals tomorrow, it seems that
for the first time in three years, there will be no Dabo presence. I
thought of doing a tutorial on desktop application development, but
I've gotten zero response from this and other lists where I've
proposed the idea, and the PyCon-interest email lists seem to be
dominated by interest in everything but desktop app development.
I'm still hoping to attend PyCon, but it will depend on my work
situation. I'm talking with several companies about joining them as
an employee after 13 years of being an independent consultant, so it
will depend on where I end up and what schedule flexibility. If it
turns out that I have to miss the upcoming PyCon, I will be seriously
disappointed, because PyCon has always been a great experience where
I've gotten to meet some great people and learned more than I thought
my brain could process.
