The problem is that it isn't possible to just add some basic
functionality: any changes to the framework have to work for everyone.
And I don't mind doing this on my Sunday; I have no life and have
nothing better to do, now that I'm stuck here in San Antonio by myself.

You didn't come across like that at all. It's just that you're
thinking in terms of your own app, whereas I always think about a much
bigger picture when it come to the framework.
