This past year it has been my primary source of income. I have used Dabo for the following projects.
1. Created a complete software package to track court ordered education for offenders. A requirement of the project was it be cross platform. 2. Used Dabo to assist in importing and converting spreadsheet data into Postgres tables. Very large amounts of data. 3. Created forms to retrieve data from Postgres and MsSQL to create special pdf reports and spreadsheets. BTW nothing is printed only email is used. I could have done the projects in many different ways and programming languages. But I found Dabo (and therefore Python) to provide an easy framework to get the job done along with knowledge and comfort knowing that Microsoft (or anyone else) will not end up harming my client by killing the language. I'm currently involved in a Django project but I do have several bids out (all based on Dabo). Side note: Like most of us I have to drum up sales. In doing so I have noticed that I am well received when I suggest using python for the projects. It appears that the word on python is very positive. This is very much in contrast to a few years ago when I suggested VFP.
