Thanks for your response.

Platform: Intel Pentium 4, 2.8GHz, 32-bit
Memory: 1GB DDR1
OS: GNU/Linux, Debian Unstable
Python: 2.7.3rc2
wxPython: 2.8.12.1 (gtk2-unicode)
Dabo: tarball, v0.9.4, file revision 6879

I don't have any of this trouble with any other wxPython-based software.
Also, the Dabo demos run without issue.

Any thoughts?
