I have been developing in Foxpro for quite some time and have been searching for a complimentary development language to expand the platforms I can develop for.
Python coupled with the Dabo framework look like the answer. Python's reputation and Dabo's codebook background are very appealing to me. I have not had success in finding commentary on the future of Dabo since 2010 so I guess my questions are that being as Dabo appears to be using Python version 2. 1. Does this mean that it has reached the end of its development cycle or is there a plan in place to port it across to a future version of Python? 2. If not is this due to the UI or are there other areas within the framework that will break under Python 3 or greater? 3. If there are plans how does a mere mortal help?
