A Reflection on Today's Scripture:

We continue to bask in the glory of the Lord's Resurrection, to
contemplate the meaning in our lives of the fulfillment of the solemn
promise that Jesus would rise again.

In today's first reading we hear how Peter and John healed a crippled
beggar. What is worth considering is what Peter said. Declaring that
he had neither silver or gold, Peter said, what he *did* have, he
would give him. It was then that Peter said, "In the name of Jesus
Christ the Nazarean, walk!" (Acts 3) With that, the beggar was pulled
to his feet became strong and walked.

Recalling this incident gives us the opportunity to reflect on what
we have to give to others. Like Peter and John it probably isn't
silver or gold. If however we consistently endeavor to remain
faithful to the Lord and all He taught, to seek Him that we might
know and love Him; then we will indeed have something precious to
share. Namely, we will be authentic witnesses of God's grace - giving
to others what we ourselves have so abundantly received.

Pray during these very holy days that we might reflect the light of
Jesus' resurrection to others. May the impact of that sentinel event
move us to greater Faith, Hope and Love that we might proclaim to a
world crippled and begging for help - the Lord, the Risen One.
Alleluia!

The Lord has risen as He Promised! Alleluia!
