A Reflection on Today's Scripture:
The life of the Christian "on line" for the kingdom is a life in
process -- even when the Lord provides us with some serenity in
prayer and contemplation, we know that the next moment may be
anything but serene....it may be a challenge to serve, a challenge to
endure a word of contempt for our righteousness, a challenge to
confront actual evil. What gives us stability to endure the
suffering and the passion? It is the Spirit in which we were
baptized and confirmed, a Spirit that frees us from discouragement,
doubt, and weakness. In His strength we will never tire, never
defect. In His joy we will find our joy in the battle.
