A Reflection on today's Holy Scripture . . .

We seek comfort and grace when focusing on the image of the Sacred Heart
of Jesus. Our faith-filled ancestors who brought us up in the traditions
of our church showed us how to pray to the Sacred Heart and taught us to
have His picture displayed prominently in our homes. Throughout our
lives we seek His blessing, we turn to the Divine Heart as a source of
Mercy and Love.

The readings today reflect upon the goodness and faithfulness of Our
God, both in the old and New Testament readings. Today's epistle from
John tells us that we must love one another and He will protect us from
evil, and become a total part of our self. When our crosses become
heavy, all we need do is to turn to Him, asking Him to show His
unceasing love again and you will receive the comfort and consolation
you need. Jesus is always there in His yoke with us, helping us carry
our burdens, rest assured He carries the heaviest part!

Don't stop praying for those people whom you love that you are
experiencing some troubles, for those that you work with who aren't so
nice, for those who are unfortunate and need assistance. Jesus'
invitation is for ALL of us who labor and are burdened not just some of
us!

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Have Mercy on us.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Have Mercy on us.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Have Mercy on us.
