Wasn't it Tammy who just went through the same thing with Hoss and a new
pup? She may have some pointers.
And I don't understand these dump people either. Last night I was driving
home from my dad's and saw 2 little beagles standing on the shoulder of this
road that has nothing on it. They looked so puzzled that it just broke my
heart. I turned around, knowing that Micah would not let them in her car,
but figuring I could call someone on my cell phone and sit there with them
and keep them out of the road until I figured out what to do. Luckily for
me there are other dog lovers! When I went back there were two trucks and I
went up a little to do another u-turn to get on the side I needed to be on
(legalities be damned at a time like that), praying the trucks hadn't hit
them or anything, and, after traffic cleared, one of the trucks pulled up
next to me, asking if I was ok! I told them I had seen a couple cute little
beagles just sitting there and the young couple inside said they couldn't
leave them either and then I saw a little beagle head pop up in the truck
bed<G>. I just was glad they were safe. Normally I hate seeing a dog in a
truck bed, but these were extenuating circumstances. They were cute as
could be. How someone could just dump them is beyond me. How sad.
