Hi Sandy,
It sounds to me like he needs more food. If his weight is too low and he is
acting starving, he probably isn't getting enough. My 7 year old female
eats five cups of very high calorie food a day. Innova is a really good
food, but a young male needs a lot more usually than an old female. I would
suggest that even though Innova makes a wonderful food, that doesn't mean
they know how much a Dane needs to eat. The person who adopted Vader from
me is feeding him 10 cups a day of Back to Basics (which is the very high
calorie food I use, it has more calories than Innova, looks like). He might
not need as much as you were feeding before, I would start increasing it
gradually, a 1/2 cup a day, since he is not used to the volume anymore.
It would add calories to put peanut butter in it, I recall Ruby talking
about that last week.
