Osteomyelitis is a bone infection, usually centered in the marrow of the
bone. Commonly it is treated by amputation if the antibiotics do not work
quickly. Unfortunately, I have had personal experience w/ this. *sigh* It
has taken me two years to get rid of the strep A infection in my leg... but
it is FINALLY gone!!!!! WOO HOO! :O)

Osteo is nothing to laugh at and can be very fatal, very fast.
