I saw something today that really irritated me.
I was driving down a busy road and saw a pink fluorescent sign that said
Great Dane Puppies, like it was a garage sale.
I whipped around and followed the signs.
A big happy male merle greeted me at the door from behind a baby gate.
He was sweet, but short with feet that kind of turned out.
He was the daddy.
I saw the pups next. Very cute, six weeks old, mantles, mismarked blacks
and merles.
The best part was the mom. She was half Weimeraner, half dane! She looked
like a black lab with a very skinny head.
They were SELLING these pups. The girl was very quick to tell me that they
were 3/4's purebred.
Wow.
What do you say to someone who is adding to the pet overpopulation problem
while you are standing in their home?
