I always disliked the fact that the darcs metadirectory isn't hidden.  I think 
that at least on POSIX systems, something like .darcs would be better than 
_darcs.

Why shouldn't it change?  A future darcs could create .darcs directories while 
still accepting _darcs directories.

Well, one should think carefully about whether .darcs would be a good name 
since .darcs is already used for per-user configuration.  Maybe something 
like .darcs-info would be better.
