I'm not sure how I feel about list.  I'm slightly nervous about it being
too 'similar' to the other commands (sorry, very vague), or it being too
specific to things that can be listed.

For example, what do you suggest the 'query cat' command be named under
the 'list' supercommand?  (query cat would print out a specific version
of a file, i.e. --matches, --from-tag, etc)

In any case, it's your darcs (long time devels might want to chime in),
whatever darcs-users and darcs-devel decide is my command.  I could also
implement list as a hidden alias, sort of a first step to renaming
query.

'darcs query files' would work for me (i.e. manifest + directories)

Well, not quite NLP, but you can presumably search for patches like
'date "3 weeks after 4 score and 2 minutes ago"' (no promises!)
