Yes. I think everyone wants to make darcs2 format the default eventually. The subtle issue here is more of when not if. I thought Ian or someone else commented that perhaps we should make it a 2.1 change and add the warning in 2.0.3. This makes it more gradual. Right now, users can upgrade to darcs2 format at anytime via 'darcs convert'. Admittedly, though, that's some what painful if you can't easily manage a flag day where everyone merges and you recreate the branches later.
