I love mine...I ride an Ellsworth Evolve (29er) and several 26ers. I use the
29er for longer rides...It rolls a little better over rocks and and ruts and I
tend to have better endurance for distance rides on it. I use my 26ers for
more technical rides...I have more travel on the 26ers and finds that it can
turn a little tighter.

Subject: [DarknDirty] I have to ask: 29ers vs 26" MTB's

Any experience on 29ers?

Any good / bad opinions?

Nice summary; nice links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/29er_(bicycle)
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/29er_(bicycle)>

I'm quite surprised that there's a lot of recommendation to ride them from
around 5'5" and taller; I thought only the 6'5" crowd would really benefit...

Personally I won't go for it just yet (still have a couple of GT 26" frames
left to brake... I mean RIDE) but I have a tall, strong buddy (recent ex
A-bunch roadie) looking a new bike; needing (in my opinion!) confidence
downhill and single track.

Gordon: Any experience?? The dude's even taller than you ...
