"Everything's a circle. We're each responsible for our own actions.
It will come back." - Betty Laverdure

This is what I read on one of those sugar papers as we sat there at
Booga-T's while enjoying hot chocolates, pizza, tremmizini's and beers...
We still get looks from some of the other patrons... all in our MTB kit and
grinning after such a lekker ride...
So with cloud about looks like somefolks aren't waterproof anymore... as
there were only 5 of us there... and best part of it all the trails were
mostly schweet and dry and really fresh... man it is so good to be back and
enjoy our really schweet trails... the familiarity of home and good friends
out having a jol.... life is good!!!!

So we head down a rather gnarly "end of the world: and into Gauntlet which
is really up to its old tricks with the super looong grass... later up those
singletracks at the base of klapperkop it was quiet freaky as the looong
grass made it difficult to see where the trial went, but we found our way
and cruisin along at some point q.t. done a dismount... we negotiated about
us being only 5 and a there and back could be a mugging risk... so Eric led
us down the singletrack next to the fence down to fountain circle... and
loop around groenkloof ... a bit of tar.. but then we get to do the
Northside of the airbase trails again.. . haven't done that in a while...
after playing frogger on the tar with the traffic and stuff... it was
decided that next time we'll rather face muggers... man I don't know how
roadies train/survive....

So we hit airbase singletracks in q.t. slipstream as we claw against the
wind...and then up that now really technical jeeptrack.... i charge off
grinding..boucin bumpin up over the rocks until my pedal whacks one and
suddely my bike jolts sideways and I come to a sudden stop...
.eish...neeeearly crashed... then we shot that lekker singletrack down to
PVR road... where there was a some police action and 3 suspects arrested
under the bridge.... he just shone his lights at us... probably wondering
what we are up to... so we cruised up end of da world and headed back...
.the ride was lekker social with a lot of role changing, all of us taking
turns to lead, sweep and just have fun... Oupa Gerrit gets wired under the
N1 and just when he thinks it is all sorted by unravelling the wire caught
in his cassette... he notices nico holding his front wheel where some "milk"
is leakin.... they do the D&D style spin & wiggle move and hit the road as
it looked like it should seal... luckily it did and after a few short play
dices and stuffs we were back at the Moo mall.

Thanks Guys, it was really an honour to ride with you's.

More or less stats... more or less rode for 2,5hours for more or less 30kms
and had more or less not much technicals, one biological and more or less no
rain at all....

AND OUPA GERRIT WON THE VALENTINES RED OUTFIT!!!!! :-)
