My Manitou Nixon with infinite travela djust is giving the opposite problem. The TA doesn't hold. So mostly, I'll adjust it down and it doesn't stay down. OK, so what? Sure... No major worry there. BUT Sometimes, it'll refuse to stay up. That is major irritating. It'll just slowly sink down, and by the time you realize it, you look like a stink bug riding a 40mm fork... (yes, it does adjust from 140 down to 40) So also an expensive service required. Or wait till it pack up and get a longer TA fork. Downsides: (1) they're heavy and (2) you do need to match the spring in them to your riding style / weight. Anything over 100mm of travel makes it climb bad. 100mm for me is the sweet spot. I still climb badly but I don't hate it as much.
