Our pleasure.

I bear good news :)

I think this has already been fixed in our git master and
darktable-1.1.x branches. The darktable-1.1.x branch is what will
become 1.1.2 in a week or two.

So you can either manually build our darktable-1.1.x branch from git

Or you can download the .orig.tar.gz and .debian.tar.gz files from my
darktable unstable ppa

https://launchpad.net/~pmjdebruijn/+archive/darktable-unstable/+packages

This contains pre-release builds of darktable-1.1.x for Ubuntu. It's
not a good idea to install Ubuntu binary packages on Debian, you can
however fairly easily rebuild the package sources like so:

$ sudo apt-get install debhelper dpkg-dev fakeroot
$ sudo apt-get build-dep darktable
$ tar zxvf darktable_$VERSION.orig.tar.gz
$ cd darktable-$VERSION
$ tar zxvf ../darktable_$VERSION.debian.tar.gz
$ nano -w debian/changelog                      (replace ~quantal with
~debian in the top entry)
$ dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot

As a sidenote, you can find more general information on camera support here:
