Since the Ubuntu 12.10 days, possibly earlier, I've been plagued with dt
hanging on startup and requiring some (any) USB card reader to be unplugged
and reinserted to free up the hang. This has persisted through O/S reinstall,
upgrade to 13.04 and even a switch to Mint but now it has magically gone away!
Instead dt now starts up faster than I can ever remember and I get an error
message at startup of:
'[imagio load module] failed to open storage `picassa`:`init
/opt/darktable/lib/darktable/plugins/imagio/storage/libpicasa.so: undefined
symbol: init'
I assume this means that the hang was occuring during the picassa plugin
processing and this is now broken. Please don't fix it as I can live very
nicely without Picassa and having dt actually start up is quite handy :)
Rgds,
Rob.
