I just push my changes to the branch tag_explorer in the main repo.
Currently, it's a very quick hack, no real test of regression have been
maid for other fct of the lib (drag'ndrop, ...)
What has changed :
- simple click clear all collect rules and add the new one
- ctrl+simple click add the new rule at the existing ones (works not
perfectly, currently)
- a '%' is added at the end of the rules
I think incluing this in the collect module perfectly make sense, we
just have to find a way to display hierarchical tags correctly, ie not
as a 'flat' list.
I can give it a try, if you want.

a- we still need 2 parts : one for managing the collection, one to
explore tags/other infos
you mean there has to be a way to collect by tag and one to
modify/manage tags. i would like it best if the collect by tag part
would be merged
into the current collect module and the management part would stay in
the right panel. that would take away some interfacing headache between
a separate module and the collect rules. but by the sounds of your
email you already solved this :)

deleting the previous one"
yes, i think so too. would be great for color label selection, too.
I've done a little hack to the keyword module for my own use ATM :
- simple click selection
- "selection_change" reset the collect module and add the new rule
- except if you press ctrl while clicking
- the rule is added with a '%' at the end, so when you select
"Iceland",
you have all the images from Iceland.
that sounds great. do you have a branch/patch for us to test this?
