For my own clarity, if I had, for example, 4 exposure settings on the history stack, only the last (top) one in the queue is applied and the previous 3 are ignored? Or said another way, the 4 stack entries are not cumulative/repeated in the processing queue and this is how it would work for all equal applied styles?

If this is the case, then compressing the history stack has no impact on image processing or end result?
