Using darktable I am unable to use the mouse to 'select' (double-click) in KDE system ... possibly only laptops are affected (may be mouse/touchpad problem).
This is an ongoing problem that I have faced that is now confirmed by another user that double-clicking with the mouse on my system (OpenSUSE-13.2-KDE) is not working and a great deal of darktable functionality is badly compromised. This problem is apparent on other Linux systems using a KDE desktop. I gather that regardless of the KDE mouse settings for double-click interval time the interval defaults to a very low (unatainable) figure on KDE systems that are running Gtk programs (again this is possibly on laptop units only). This is well documented. It is generally also well known that several Gtk based applications suffer from this same problem when running on a KDE desktop (for instance Firefox shows this problem) ... but in general there is a very simple solution to be found for KDE systems by a simple edit of the ~./gtkrc-2.0 to add "gtk-double- click-time=800" ... this makes full correction for all normal gtk based applications. Darktable however obviously bypasses ~./gtkrc-2.0 and uses darktable-gtkrc and trying to insert the same corrective line in that file creates an interface problem. It would be appreciated if the developers could propose an added section in the darktable-gtkrc that would correct this problem or some other form of work-around.
