Hi,
I have two systems running, on the test system I did compile the 0.3.0-Version. I'm not quite sure how to find out what libs are used by darktable, I googled a bit around and finally used pmap. On the test system it gives (I'm not quite sure if the spelling is correct because I'm not at this system at the moment) something like liblensfun.0.3.0.so and on the main system with native darktable it gave ...0.2.8.so. I will have a look how LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set.

Hi,
I haven't checked with 1.6 & 0.3.0, but it definitely worked with development versions. Are you sure, that your self-compiled library is used? I had to set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH for darktable to get it working.
