I am experiencing the same problem on Manjaro Linux with DT 2.2.1. > Are there any error message when starting darktable from a terminal? Not on my system (only some Gtk warnings on DT startup). > For me it > works and I see the following palces with the rating: > > - Exif.Image.Rating > - Xmp.xmp.Rating I just exported 2 RAWs from a Canon PowerShot S120 and a Canon EOS 5D Mk III to jpeg. Both were rated "3 stars" in DT. Opening them in XMViewMP I see the following in the "ExifTool" tab for both jpegs: - XMP Rating = "0" - Exif Rating = "3" It seems the XMP Rating value is accidently overwritten with a zero during export.
