Sorry, no... I'm glad it works for you, but this is a hack that might
break with the next update. It's a major advantage that the NVidia
driver is available for a number of distributions, including Ubuntu and
Debian...
I fail to see the problem and why it's a "no" and a "hack", as it is just installing support libs as far as I can tell. It's been working for me (RX480) since amdgpu-pro16.x using out-of-the-box Fedora 25. Please explain how it would break, I'd like to understand. Worst case, you just have to rerun ./amggpu-pro-install --compute
