Not sure how saturation works.

For eyes with dark iris, I currently reduce the red in a drawn mask from the 
channel mixer and substract.

For eyes with clear iris, this give awful results and I found the monochrom 
module could give not so bad results.

None of them being satsifactory, though.

I will try saturation when my computer has finished processing the videos from 
the party - that is, not before tomorrow evening.

I would suggest using a circular mask in conjunction with the mixer or some 
other module to reduce the saturation.
That way you can just modify the problem eyes.
