I mentioned cleaning this out every so often, but not all the time. This is
_not_ how you should approach this.

The contents of /opt/darktable should always be deleted before installing a
new version.

I ran into a "bug", which in the end was nothing more then leftovers from
the
previous build in /opt/darktable. This was pointed out to me by parafin
after
I filed a bug-report on github ........
