Thanks for confirming! It happens with each previously edited image, as soon as
I open it in darkroom mode.

Well, it also happens with freshly imported files, so I'm afraid the xmps will
not help. I also suspect some auto preset now, will check by starting dt with
new configuration and in-memory DB. Later...
