Try using Rapid Photo Downloader to copy the files from the card onto your hard drive. You can setup templates to automatically create the required directories (folders) using key data (date, time etc.).

Within Windows 10, the card-reader works flawless and I can read from and write to any sd-card attached. But dt doesn't give me the option to import from the card directly. As I've already learned, there should be a button in the import-dialogue. But it doesn't appear here.
Is your card being automatically mounted by Windows? darktable won't offer you to import directly from the card if it is mounted (and unmounting it before makes it disappear from the system, so probably not a solution either).Regards,Guillermo
