Hello
Dear Darktable,

I am trying to download the latest update that is available from your site, and
I am stuck with the enclosed unchecked boxes.

Could it be a protective option my end, either way I am unable to download the
latest (I had 3.0 but was asked would I like to
remove previous one in the process of downloading the latest version)

Please help me.

Kindest regards, Dave Stephens

Adobe's Lightroom uses a compulsory import function since non-destructive
editing requires a DB or associated file to record edits. Following Simon's
suggestion is a suitable workaround. However, Darktable does let you import a
single image which effectively lets you "explore" system files and folders,
opening only the desired images. Photoshop and GIMP use the term open because
they do destructive edits, but non-destructive editing programs like Lightroom
and Darktable use the term import.

Use the right tool for the job. On Linux, the tool I use to do what you
describe is geeqie.
