No, it shows all images that were imported (unless you use a filter to
limit that). It doesn't matter if it's RAW, JPG, PNG, etc.

However: In my workflow, I produce lossless(!!) PNG, whereas dt is

darktable does not re-import by default the exported images, but there are
lua scripts for that that can be added.  In any case, you can always
re-import the folder and darktable will import only the new images.
