You can make the history panel shorter. Hold your cursor in the history
panel and press the control key and roll wit your mouse wheel up to make
is shorter. You can see an counter at the top of the picture that you
process. The lower the number, the shorter the panel.

on left hand side. For me, most of the times duplicates module is
collapsed. If you have lot of entries in history panel, I have to
scroll down to expand the duplicates module and the buttons are at the
bottom, so I was looking for a shortcut. My interpretation was, there
will be something on top right either of the module or darkroom view,
but these buttons are at bottom.
Manual also mentions the duplicates can be renamed. I have not figured
out how to do it and I just get the entries 0 and 1 etc. Can it be
done from darkroom duplicates view? If so, how?

It says buttons on top-right and I don't see any buttons. Trying to
figure out top right of what? Where it says lighttable/darkroom
etc or
top right of duplicate manager where reset instance etc buttons are
typically shown.
In either case, I don't get any buttons anywhere. All I want to
do start
a new image without any changes or a virgin version as manual
describes it.
