I forgot to mention: I have deleted every file and folder of the 3.6.0
version with Revo uninstaller. And expected that only the new
installation would start.

You've updated the database.
You've updated the ~/.config/darktable/ config files, etc
But you're trying to run the updated config & DB with the old code base.
If you want to run the old code you need to be using the old oth4r
stuff as well.
Perhaps you should have created a "Jan2" account and moved the
original/old
config & DB there
