I would try reinstalling the latest version and let it uninstall any
previous version it finds. I feel the problem is that you tried to run two
versions of DT on the same machine and there are files squirrelled away by
windows associated with DT. Uninstalling a program does not remove these
files. Hopefully a new install of the latest version will work with these
files.
