Thanks to all for your answers. Discussion about snapshot and clones is interesting and it could improve snapshot module. I agree with Richard about his workflow, and in this case now I think my proposal was wrong. But my initial point concerned another aspect. I'm only searching a simple way to test more plugin settings *of the same plugin*, with the ability to test it with snapshot. I hope to explain my point of view with my poor english ;) The problem, with current implementation, is that the plugin settings are saved in the last step of history stack. And this is good, in general. But what I can't do now, is to save a new history step and then continue to experiment on the same plugin, without loose my previous "logical snapshot". In this case, I think a good solution would be a new button to "store history step" (so, different from my previous solution to link to snapshot button). Actually I can obtain this result swithing other plugin, setting a dummy preset (on/off?) to generate a new step and then return again on my working plugin... of course not a good solution :) I hope that this will better explain my point of view. thanks!
