Depending on your hardware this is not necessarily only dependent on the 
dt developers. With Intel i7 machines there is a problem with video 
drivers. This is because i7 machines use a double display system, 
meaning Intel graphics hardware for low-res graphics, and separate 
dedicated hi-res graphics hardware for hi-res applications. This is part 
of a strategy for power saving in i7 technology. For more information on 
i7 graphics in Linux and Nvidia, check bumblebee-project.org. Dual 
screen access does not yet exist in Linux-Nvidia for i7. Looks like i7 
technology is still in its infancy, we need patience.
