Short of installing the unstable version of Darktable (to get masks) the Gimp 
is probably your best bet. Just export as either a TIFF or PNG. As for UFRaw, I 
really haven't played with it much, but it appears to lack a lot of features 
found in Darktable. Once the masks make it to the stable release of Darktable 
it will bring extremely powerful tools to us.
