Hi folks, Very interesting thread for me, as I have plans for a new desktop PC for both, photo and video work (but amateur level) as well as DTP. A question to the "pro's": are the conditions for photo and video work the same, i. e. could I be happy with a screen for photo work and video at the same time? Is it usual to apply the photo profiles to video too, or special video profiles? Currently, I just control it on our ordinary TV screen. Up to now, I haven't even used any profile. Just "knew" how the colours and contrast would be in print (more or less) from the service, and that was ok for me. When I make a hardcopy on a colour printer at home, however, that is the wider gap between what-I-see and what-I-get :-) Also true for DTP. So I think applying some profile would be good for me.
