If you want to do video editing, too, I would buy a monitor that is sRGB (as precise as possible) and not wide gamut, or that can be set to such a mode. The problem here is that no video player that I know of is able to use ICC profiles to show correct colors on the screen, but just dumps the pixels to the video buffer (modulo some details). And since most video formats use Rec709 primaries which happen to be identical to sRGB you get the best results with a monitor set to that gamut. [...] > Regards > Rolf Tobias
