Hi Francisco,

I haven’t seen any dt styles published that mimic Nikon jpeg pre-sets and in
fact can’t really see any reason why they would be useful. I imagine that if
you have a particular use case for them they wouldn’t be hard to create though.

Reversing the preset/mask sequence would then probably prohibit any future
ability to include masks within a pre-set definition and hence doesn’t seem a
good idea. What advantage do you see in the reversed order workflow that might
compensate for this?

Rgds,
Rob.

Subject: [Darktable-users] A couple of questions

1) Has anyone reverse engineered the Nikon Picture Control settings (standard,
portrait, neutral etc.) in order to produce corresponding Darktable styles?

2) When using a drawn mask in a Darktable module that has presets one has to
first apply the preset and then select the mask (blend -> drawn mask). It would
be nice if we could also do that in reverse order: first select the mask and
then apply the module preset. Can that be done? (For instance: first select the
mask and then apply the equalizer clarity subtle preset.)

Thank you. FC
